This helps us to update and expand our records, and to identify potential new members and customers that may be interested in our products and services.

Section 5.  Automated Collection of Personal Data

SCC collects personal information about users over time and across our web sites when you use our sites. We also have third parties that collect personal information this way. To do this, we use several common tracking tools, which may include browser cookies, web beacons, flash cookies, and similar technologies.

The SCC hosts a secure, login-protected Member Directory on its website and via its official mobile app where limited SCC member information is displayed (first and last name, title, company, city and state, email address, telephone number, member type, area, chapter, industry demographics, and current SCC service involvement). This information is displayed for SCC members only upon secure login. SCC members have the ability to opt out of sharing specific contact information such as email address and telephone number at any time.

As part of SCC’s Annual Scientific Meeting and Showcase, we deploy an event-specific mobile app available only to event attendees where limited event attendee information is displayed (first and last name, title, company, and city and state). We do not display any personal contact information by default in the mobile app. Attendees have the ability to add or remove any information displayed in the event mobile app at any time.
